Defend or attack in an unending cycle of war where adaptation is the key to success - raise children, train warriors, synergize cooperative parties, distribute loot and shape their experience into beneficial feats - they are all important parts of your grand strategy. Don't forget, all subjects you encounter, whether a gang of orcs, a pack of wolves, or a swarm of ghouls, each will have respective threats to overcome.

    Help reshape the ancient, untold stories of how mankind started its ambitious journey of life. Suffer the struggles that they’ve been through together and help them overcome the challenges of loneliness during times when they were afresh to their universe. Our official maps are inspired by classical Abrahamic creeds to local lore of all cultures and traditions, and we have divided them into three categories to help you understand their playstyles, flows, and end-game goals; - Campaign maps offer a simulation, city builder, colony sim experience, where you embark on an adventure of your chosen story, fine-tuned, and hand-made to provide a strong sense of polished settings, plots and characters with tailored events, conflicts, and end-game objectives. - Skirmish maps offer a classic 4x game experience, where you compete and cooperate with other settlements on balanced, optimized, multiplayer maps to experience the classical, shortened RTS adrenaline. All players start as a separate settlement in this map mode. - Custom maps have deep roguelike mechanics in an RTS game, offering endless replayability, where you define starting rules and modifiers and enjoy a procedurally generated, randomized world that's never been explored by any of "the first men" before.

Is TFM your first game, do you have any experience with game development?
Gathering Tree, is a new video game development studio founded in November 2019, and based in Istanbul, Turkey – with a legacy of making community-focused, moddable, expandable, replayable, strategically deep, and content-heavy games. How can I play the game before the release?

Your feedback and thoughts are very important for us. So, we’ve designed a mini-game in TFM Discord Server by using roles, and it is up to you to earn new roles, unlock special channels, and eventually gain access to the game before the release.

Those who have access will be expected to use an in-game bug reporting and feedback sharing tool.

Will I be able to mod the game?

That’s our goal. During the Early Access we will dig deeper and deeper to make every component of the game mod-able, and hopefully at the end it will be fully mod-able, not an easy task, keep in mind we are learning many new things while we are making the game as well, and doing our best for every aspect of the game. Besides making the game fully mod-able, we will also open our in-game editors and map makers to our community, so everyone will be able to create new content.

Will there be multiplayer?

For the Early Access release we plan to focus on single-player features, and we will implement multiplayer after all of our planned map types are in-game playable as single-player; Campaign Maps, Skirmish Maps and Custom Maps.

So for the main release, we will have the Multiplayer, if you are hyped for multiplayer only it would be wiser to wait until it is implemented during the Early Access. For more details, you can check the roadmap for the Early Access in the store page’s Early Access section.

When will I be able to buy the game?

As for now, we plan to release the Early Access version on Steam sometime spring of 2022.

We will announce an exact release date after we’ve completed the content overhaul, which includes some balancing and progression improvements.

What platforms will it be available on?

Early Access version will be available on Steam, PC.

Later we will add Linux, Mac supports, and the game probably will be available in most of the stores. Not sure right now about “when” this may happen.

And much later, we believe the game may even be playable on consoles as well.

How much is the price going to be?

Starting with $30USD, we plan to gradually raise the price as we ship new content and features during the Early Access. We will use Steam’s standard regional prices for other currencies.

Can I create content using TFM and/or use TFM content for monetization purposes?

Gathering Tree Games allows for the contents of TFM: The First Men to be published through video broadcasting services for any commercial or non-commercial purposes.
